Description

This position will be responsible for overseeing one or more of Itron's software deployment projects and will currently be located in Los Angeles, CA. Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed. Must be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of projects and services as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.

We are looking for someone who has been a program manager of multiple projects. Utility experience is a plus and experience with managing large project teams and multiple projects under the umbrella of responsibility is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities
1.Project definition - including assumptions, risks, constraints, stakeholders identification, etc.
2.Scope definition, management & prioritization - including creation and management of SOWs, contracts, etc. (as applicable)
3.Schedule creation & management
4.Budget development, analysis & management
5.Estimating - costs, resources, schedule, etc.
6.Deliverables tracking, reviews, etc.
7.Issue & risk management - including issues / risk identification, response planning, escalation, etc.
8.Critical thinking and analysis
9.Resource / team management - Collaboration, conflict management, managing contractors & supplemental staff, etc.
10.Internal relationship management - including effective collaboration / partnering, setting & managing expectations, productive & timely communications between internal Itron stakeholders (PLM, Q/A, Application Engineering, Sales, Hardware & 11.Software groups, etc.)
12.Client management - including collaboration, setting and managing expectations, regular & timely communications, etc.
13.Knowledge and effective use of project management & Itron methodologies
14.Proficiency with MS Project, Oracle project & budget forecasting / management, etc.
15.Change management & change control processes
16.Project performance metrics / measurements creation & management

 

Qualifications:

Experience: Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience, including project management in the Utility/Energy Industry on CIS/ERP implementations.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Certifications: PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) or the ability to obtain certification within 6 mos.
Travel Requirements: 50 - 70%
